Stadtspaziergang Berlin „300 Jahre Frauenemanzipation und Kampf um Rechte“

Die Geschichte aus der Sicht von Frauen ist bis heute eine Art heimliche Erzählung, meist versteckt hinter dem, was als offizielle Historie festgelegt wurde. Auf einem Spaziergang in der Mitte Berlins suchen wir Orte auf, die diese versteckte Geschichte des Kampfes der Frauen um Gleichberechtigung erzählen. Am Reichstag, auf der Prachtstraße Unter den Linden, am Gendarmenmarkt, am Bebelplatz, an der Humboldt-Uni und am Roten Rathaus begegnen wir mutigen und klugen Frauen.
 
Was haben Frauen mit der 1848er-Revolution zu tun? Seit wann saßen Frauen als Abgeordnete im Reichstag und wie organisierten sie Frauentagungen, obwohl es ein Politikverbot für sie gab? Hatten die Frauen in der DDR mehr Rechte als in der BRD?
Dies sind einige der Fragen, die uns auf der Tour beschäftigen.

Dr. Iris Wachsmuth, sociologist, pedagogue as well as biographical and urban researcher from Berlin.
 
To this day, history from the perspective of women is a kind of clandestine narrative, mostly hidden behind what has been established as official history. On a walk in the centre of Berlin, we seek out places that tell this hidden story of women's struggle for equality. At the Reichstag, on the boulevard “Unter den Linden”, at the Gendarmenmarkt, at Bebelplatz, at the Humboldt University and at the “Red City Hall” we meet courageous and clever women.
 
What do women have to do with the 1848 revolution? Since when did women sit as MPs in the Reichstag and how did they organise women's conferences although there was a ban on politics for them? Did women in the former German Democratic Republic have more rights than in the Federal Republic of Germany?
 
These are some of the questions we will address on the tour.
